The purpose of the event was to hear the experiences of Black youth in schools throughout Alameda County, discuss how racial equity is being played out in the various school districts, and then hear from Glenn Singleton how to engage beyond diversity and with true courage.
This event was a continuation of a multi-year effort to raise the issues and concerns of the Black community and bridge the gap between youth, families and those that seek to serve them authentically.
